Wildfood Saturday

Saturday 31 May 2025 - 3-5pm

Hosted at The Little Red Cottage and presented by Forest Heart ecoNursery, Wildfood Saturday invites you to explore the delicious world of Australian edible native plants on Saturday 31 May 2025.

Led by Karen Shaw, this small-group workshop offers a warm and hands-on introduction to bushfoods and the local ingredients used by Australia’s First Peoples for thousands of years. Set within the welcoming cottage space above the nursery, the event brings together tasting, conversation, and practical learning in an intimate and relaxed setting.

Guests will enjoy wildfood tea, a shared afternoon tea, tastings, and cooking demonstrations featuring native ingredients. The workshop will also include ideas for growing, harvesting, and using bushfoods at home, making it a rich experience for gardeners, food lovers, and anyone curious about native plants and flavours.

Each booking includes afternoon tea, wildfood recipes and tastings, and a wildfood sample pack to take home. Places are limited, so bookings are essential.
